Arizona Stadium was originally built in 1928 and it is a historical landmark to the alumni as well as the state of Arizona. This 50782-seat stadium is home to the Arizona bowl as well as a variety of other college sports. Just recently the scholarship suites needed to have a new roofing system installed over the Scholarship Suites. Due to the difficulty of the project the University needed a reputable and safe contractor with past performance results.
Classic Roofing was selected for the project. Besides the 235 foot height of the suites, safety and logistical challenges, approximately 80% of the roof was covered by structural steel that was 8-12″ above the roof deck. This tight situation made the full tear-off of the original single-ply and insulation fairly difficult. The installation of the new roofing system was difficult as well but went quite smoothly. Although the situation was not ideal, Classic Roofing delivered. The project was completed on time, within budget, safely, and with no change orders.
